| GOOD NEWS FOR THE SPANISH PROPERTY MARKET |

Spiralling UK house prices and recent interest rate rises aremaking many
people re-think their plans. The average house price in the UK is now
almost 180,000 pounds, about 270,000 euros. For that amount of money, or
less, you can still buy a detached 3 bedroom villa, with a pool in this area of Spain.
Even in the North of England run down old terraced houses are selling for
140,000 pounds, about 210,000 euros in the areas very few of us would chose to live.
Compare that with the options in this area. A detached villa, new build, slightly
inland for less than 2000,000 euros, just over 133,000 pounds. Villas and
apartments on golf courses with loads of amenities including pools from under
120,000 euros, about 80,000 pounds. These are always beautiful
properties in prime locations, (what can you buy in the UK for 80,000
pounds)?
There is also a wide selection of all types of properties and prices in locations close
to the sea. Look through the paper and you will see!
Interest rates here are also lower than in the UK, so if you need a mortgage
repayments should be less. To add to all this even in the depths of winter we still
get beautiful sunny days and it seldom goes dark before 6pm. Contrast
this with December and January in the UK (aptly called by many Ex. Pats
Uck), when some
days are so grey that it hardly seems to get light at all and most days
its getting dark around 3.30pm. WHERE WOULD YOU PREFER TO BE !!!
