| ROAD IMPROVEMENTS ON THE WAY |

The Councillor of Public Works Transport and Housing has placed the
foundation stone for the work to repair part of the F-27 highway which
has deteriorated and is in a poor condition. This road (San Cayetano -
Roda) takes a lot of traffic through the municipality of Torre Pacheco
and 17% of the traffic is heavy goods vehicles.
This particular project involves improvements and repairs to 3.410
kilometres from the link with the C-3319 to kilometre 3,700, not
including the intersection with the F-28 which is another project
separately undertaken involving the building of a new roundabout. There
will be a hard shoulder of one metre in width and an overhaul of the
signage.
The work is being carried out by Construcciones Iniesta S.L. with a time limit of six months and a budget of 833,000 euros.
Also inaugurated by the Councillor Joaquin Bascunana was the roundabout
which is to replace the crossing of the E-12 highway (Balsicas - Fuente
Alamo) with the service road relating to the Trasvase Tajo-Segura.
This roundabout is to have a diameter of 44 metres, interior and
exterior hard shoulders of 0.50 and 1 metres respectively and two 4
metre lanes. This project is being carried out by Hidraulica y
Fraguados at a cost of 260,430 euros. The traffic is heavy at this
point with an average of 6,731 vehicles per day. This project also
covers the provision of access to the lorry park at Balsapintada and
the existing service station.
